Here a little has been on news about this fiber to the home service. However, the new report about Reliance Jio Fiber proposes similarly aggressive broadband data plans as Reliance Jio for Mobile handsets.
As per Phone Radar, Jio will first start testing its FTTH broadband service in Delhi and Mumbai cities. Now service is open under Welcome Offer for 90 days and similar to Jio Welcome Offer for Jio 4G on mobile service. Report says that after the 90 days Reliance Jio will launch its data plans starting at Rs 500 for 60 GB and other plans.
Reliance Jio Fiber broadband service will offer data plans under 3 different categories, that are Silver, Gold and Platinum, here report doesn’t specify how these three plans will work out, but it says that tariffs will be based on speed, volume and price of the plan.
Jio Special Offer Tariffs have the minimum plan for Rs 500 for which the company will offer 600GB of data at 15Mbps speed for 30 days period of time. Company will also offer a Jio single day plan for Rs 400 which will give unlimited data usage for one day, and there are 2 more plans for Rs 500 from that one of which will have a 3.5GB cap per day and will be applicable for a month time. Other Rs 500 plan will allow a user 72 hours of usage over 30 days and the speed in this tariff should reach up to 60Mbps as report says.
Speed based plans start at 50Mbps and go up to 600Mbps speed, the data cap for the 50Mbps plan is 2KGB and it goes down to 300GB for the 600Mbps plan, all these plans are applicable for 30 days only. Given plans will also offer Jio app usage from Rs 1,500 to 5,500 rupees.
As per the report, there is no official word on this report so we suggest you to take this with a pinch of salt, we expect Reliance to make an official statement regarding the FTTH service in the coming days in India.
