Reliance Jio has caused a wave in the market forcing many competing telecom operators to slash their prices for call and data costs.
Reliance annual general meeting (AGM) commenced today at 11 AM, where the Reliance chairman Mukesh Ambani is speaking about Reliance Jio, which will be the biggest push in the 4G telecom sector in India.
Past few months, Mukesh Ambani ‘s Reliance Industries has been testing its 4G Jio service but has been accused by numerous Telco’s for offering commercial services lower than the guise of testing. Reliance Jio tariff plans, the conflict between Cellular Operators Association of India and the industry officials are expected to end today.
RJio have confirmed that the AGM will spectator the launch of tariff plans and launch day, the company is also expected to submit its tariff plans with regulatory authority TRAI and which will come effective once users finish the free 3 month voice and data offer provided by reliance industry, not only will Jio 4G plan bring down data costs but its Internet-based calling service will offer better quality in comparison to PSTNs.
Recently, Bharti Airtel slashed 4G and 3G mobile internet charges by up to 80 per cent to as low as Rs 51 per gigabyte (GB) under a special scheme cheaper 4G data plans, though the Jio 4G offer has been criticised by other telecoms for flouting certain rules, Reliance’s Jio has caused a ripple in the market forcing many rival telecom operators to slash rates of prices for call and data.

Ambani starts the AGM with introducing the JIO. Mukesh Ambani said that he wants to dedicate the commencement of Jio to the entire 120 crore population of India and Mukesh Ambani expects Jio to help India rank to the top 10th position, he said that India ranks number 155 on 230 compare to other countries, on informing why it has been called JIO, Ambani said, means to live, and he said there is nothing more precious in this world than life. Mentioning on Jio’s services in the telecom industry Ambani said that, while other telecom service providers have not built their networks specially for data and Jio will fulfill that section as it is specially built for voice and SMS and he said that while legacy telecoms are including data on existing networks in India, our Jio is designed completely for the internet, With an all IP-based design, Jio will have the most future proof network in the world specially to India.
Ambani said, Jio only is the true 4G network in India and the IP design work will make Jio’s network completely, his aim is to cover around 90 per cent of the Indian entire population, he added largest 4G network is Jio. Recently Reliance launched their 4G enabled smartphones in the LYF series starting from 2999 rupees and a portable Wi-Fi router the JioFi, for Rs 1999, with almost 70 percent of 4G LTE allowed smartphones and devices presently being sold in India.
Ambani then focused on other Jio’s services that were launched during the performance period. He added that JioTV has more than 300 live TV channels and including 40 HD channels. “JioCinema” has around 6,000+ movies and 60,000 above music videos in around 10 different languages that is the special of India.
Ambani said while announcing the Jio Apps bouquet, the entire year package will be around 15,000/- rupees but Jio customers will be receiving it for free of cost for the starting year and offer will be valid till December 2017 year.

Reliance Jio Tariff Plans
Ambani said about Tariff plans that a customer should not be charged for voice or data, all voice calls for Jio customers will be absolutely free and he also added that all calls to all networks in India will be free and roaming charges will be zero.

- Jio data will be charged at Rs 5 paise per MB used
- 1GB of data will cost just Rs 50
- Reliance Jio will start from a basic price of Rs 19 per day, Ambani said tariff plans that night usage on LTE data will be limitless.
Reliance Jio Students plans
25 per cent discounts for students from schools and colleges with a valid student ID and Jio is connecting a majority of schools and colleges with Wi-Fi.
Ambani stated that from the September 5- 2016 all apps, in the Jio bouquet will be available for everyone for free till December 31- 2016 end of the year.
In the same time Mukesh Ambani also announced that Jio will be rolling out Fibre to Home wired connections for Internet to select cities with speeds up to 1Gbps, Covering up the address at the AGM, he said that he wants to create a world record with 100 million customers in the shortest time period.
